Word Inspector (“the App”) is a word game you can play on one device or in online rooms with friends. This policy explains what information is used when you play.
Information we process
- Display name you enter for local or online play (stored on your device and, for online games, on the game server for the room).
- Game data such as room codes, turns, scores, and secret words needed to run a match.
- Technical data such as a random player id kept in your browser/app storage so you can reconnect to a room, plus standard server connection logs (IP address, timestamps) if you use online play.
Advertising
The Android app uses Google AdMob to show ads (a banner on the home screen and an occasional full-screen ad after a finished match). Google and its partners may collect device identifiers, IP address, and usage data to serve and measure ads. You can pay once through Google Play to remove ads. Google handles that purchase. We do not see your card number.
The website at wordinspector.tamakitech.com may use Google AdSense to show ads. AdSense uses cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads. See Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from sites and apps. You can opt out of personalized ads at Google Ads Settings.
The Tamaki Technologies marketing site (tamakitech.com) is listed with AdSense for domain verification only and is not intended to display these ads.
What we do not collect
The App does not require an account and does not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not ask for your email, phone number, or contacts to play.
Online multiplayer
If you host or join an online room, game state is sent to the Word Inspector server so other players can take turns. Leave a room or close the match when you are done. Room data is temporary and intended only for active play.
Local / hotseat play
Play on this device can run without contacting a server for gameplay. Dictionary and bot word lists are bundled with the App.
Children
The App is a general-audience word game. Do not enter personal information about children into display names or shared messages.
